Reminder/100 things
Thoughts on ‘spiritual leader’
Satan may tell me that I am useless, that I have too much baggage, that I am too vain, or too fearful, or too silly, or too this or that. But if any man has the light of Christ and an understanding of the truth, and a firm grounding in the Word of God, the only reason he would look to worldly accomplishments would be because Satan is telling him the same lies. Otherwise my love for God would be what draws him to me.
If we are in the right line of thinking, the “security of Christ” refers to our knowledge of his salvation despite our despicable sin-nature, and our belief in the assurance of pardon for our sins. And if Satan has that much power in his life, he is not to be my spiritual leader. Lord, please reveal this to me.
